Horror queue

Horror entertainment queue

This is where I’ll document horror movies that I have not yet seen – horror movies I intend to watch at some point in the future. As-yet unreleased horror films may be included here – and perhaps some reading material, too.

Horror movies I STILL haven’t seen!

Horror franchises I’ll definitely follow

An article I read recently – it was in either Time magazine or The Economist – focused on the relatively large percentage of movies being released these days that are either remakes or sequels; not surprisingly, it was at an all-time high.

I am not complaining, though; some remakes are fantastic. And thanks to more horror movies coming out than ever before, there is plenty of horror entertainment to choose from.

That being said, there are certain horror franchises that I enjoy enough to follow; here are a few that come to mind.

Hellraiser
Amityville Horror
30 Days of Night
Paranormal Activity

Horror remakes I’ll definitely see

The Thing, 2011

Horror movies seen in 2011

Here is a partial list of horror movies I have seen during the last few months. I will write about some of these horror films in future posts.

Grave Encounters, 2011 Canadian horror movie
Verdict: Good; probably the most frightening ghost hunter (paranormal investigator) flick of them all
Plot summary: Lance Preston and the crew of “Grave Encounters”, a ghost-hunting reality television show, are shooting an episode inside the abandoned Collingwood Psychiatric Hospital, where unexplained phenomena has been reported for years. All in the name of good television, they voluntarily lock themselves inside the building for the night and begin a paranormal investigation, capturing everything on camera. They quickly realize that the building is more than just haunted – it is alive – and it has no intention of ever letting them leave. They find themselves lost in a labyrinth maze of endless hallways and corridors, terrorized by the ghosts of the former patients. (Source: Official site)
